History
For 45 years Walt Saari has worked with hand lay-up
fiberglass. In the early 1960's he began to utilize his expertise
in hand lay-up work with drag racing whenhe did fiberglass work
on Lee Pendolton's aircraft powered A Gas Dragster. He then later
did fiberglass work on Art Arfons land speed car.
Through the years Walt continued to do hand lay-up
car parts for friends and himself. In 1978 he began to turn his
1970 Dodge Dart into a drag car that consisted all of his own fiberglass
body parts except for the roof and rear panels that were left original
factory metal. Word began to get out about the quality of the fiberglass
and Walt began to receive a growing amount of requests for fiberglass
from all over the country.
So, in 1994 Walt and his son Carl decided to begin
a small fiberglass business out of their shop at home. At which
time WS Racing Fiberglass Components came about into existence.
Yet it is only a two man shop, six years later with a combined total
of 55 years of experience WS Racing is producing quality fiberglass
parts.
